Sailing Lefkada

One of the nicest ways to explore the island of Lefkada and the surrounding islands is by sailingboat. The area around Lefkas and the Ionian Sea is one of the most favorite sailing regions in Greece with clear and clean water, white beaches, beautiful landscapes, sheltered bays and lively and cozy fishing villages. In the surroundings of Lefkada there are many unique bays and beaches that are only accessible by boat, so you can often enjoy a beautiful private beach. The wind is usually ideal for a wonderfully peaceful sailing holiday, in the morning the wind is calm and you have enough time to take a refreshing dip in the water. During the afternoon the wind is increasing so that you can sail with tight sails to the next bay.

On the island there are many sailing boat charters to rent a boat with or without a skipper. If you want to sail yourself but still want the certainty and coziness of a group, you can also opt for flotilla sailing. Various flotilla providers can be found on the island, most sailboat charters have the Marina in Lefkas as departure location. If you want to combine sailing with a stay in our villa, it is also possible to rent a sailing boat in Sivota. This combines the luxury of staying in a villa with the adventurous of sailing.

Sailing routes from Sivota

Sivota is a sailing harbour and fishing village, located at 2 kilometres from our villa in a sheltered bay with many tavernas and shops where you can rent a sailing yacht or motorboat for 1 or more days, if desired with skipper. From Sivota you can sail the Ionian islands such as Meganissi, Chefalonia, Ithaca, Zakyntos, Kastos and Kalamos. You can stay overnight in one of these cosy bays such as Fiskardo, Vahti, Effimia etc. but you can also chose for day trips departing from Sivota.
