Horse riding Lefkada

Lefkada is also an excellent destination for horse lovers. It is unique to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and views of Lefkada on the back of a horse. There are two providers at Lefkas where you can take riding lessons or book a guided horse-riding tour. You can choose to start the ride from Apolpena (a village 3 kilometers from Agios Nikitas) or from Vasiliki.

Horseriding in Vasiliki:

For horseriding in this region we recommend to book a trip at "NIKOS" farm, a company located 100 meters from the beach of Vasiliki which operates some 20 horses. A guided tour lasts normally between 3 and 4 hours and you can ride from Vasiliki to Agios Petros, or from Vasiliki to Lake Marandochori. Of course there is also the possibility for beach riding to shoot the ultimate holiday photos.

Horseriding in Apolpena:

Apolpena is a small village three kilometers south of Lefkas city. Here you will find the "Aramis farm" that offers different horse riding tours. Aramis farm operates 5 horses that are well taking care of by the Swedish owner Janet. Most popular tour is the two and a half hour tour departing from Apolpena, along the blue lagoon to the beach of Agios Giannis. We recommend that you book this tour in the afternoon so that you can drive down the beach of Agios Giannis with sunset.
