Family holiday – Lefkada

Lefkas is a versatile island that is ideal for a family holiday in Greece. There are many activities that you can undertake together with your family or friends, varying from visiting picturesque villages and harbors with traditional taverns to a tour to a Greek winery or visiting the waterfalls in Nydri. From sunbathing on the various beautiful beaches to the many sporting activities that you can undertake on and around the island.

It is recommended to rent a sailing boat or motor boat to sail with the family along the surrounding islands such as Meganisi, Skorpios, Chefalonia or Ithaca. Sailboats can be rented in Lefkas, Sivota or in the port of Nydri where you also can rent a small sailingboat for children. You can rent motor boats for 4 to 8 people in the port of Sivota. Sivota is only a few minutes' drive from Villa Lefkas, and boats can be rented here per part of the day. Special life jackets are available for children in the boat. With a bit of luck you will encounter dolphins during your sailingtrip.

It is also nice to rent a car or scooters with the family to make a tour around the island. You will see a wide variety of landscapes with quiet, traditional villages, mountains, spectacular views, beautiful beaches and the towns of Lefkada and Nydri.

In terms of sporting activities you can undertake a lot together, such as windsurfing in the port of Vasiliki, mountain biking or hiking in a fascinating environment. If you decide for windsurfing with the whole family, you can spend a whole day in Vasiliki. In the morning the wind is very calm and the children can learn to master the technique, possibly with the help of an instructor. In the afternoon the wind increases which is time for the experienced surfers to show their talent.

Villa Lefkas is ideal for a family vacation. We often see that families bring their parents / grandparents or children/grandchildren for a wonderful, relaxing holiday. With 4 spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, the villa can easily occupy 8 persons. The villa has a wonderful private swimming pool with enough sun beds for every visitor. From all places you enjoy the spectacular views on the sea with boats passing by and the islands in front of our villa. There are several terraces around the house offering shade or sun and there is a platform directly on the seacoast to swim, fisch or just relax with with a book or enjoy a nice glass of wine while the children are playing around the pool.

In the evening it is wonderful to dine or barbecue outside on the very spacious terrace. The villa has a large outdoor kitchen with a fixed barbecue and fridge plus an extra lounge.
