Diving Lefkada

Lefkada is known for its wide variety of water sports. Diving is in Lefkas perhaps not as  popular as other water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing but diving is certainly worthwile practicing in Lefkas. In Lefkas you will find various Padi certified diving schools, where you can book beautiful diving trips, with or without an instructor. Most diving schools can be found in the more touristy villages such as Vasiliki, Nidri and Nikiana.

These diving schools offer courses at any level, even starters can obtain their Padi certificate here. Also children can get familiar with diving in Lefkas, children from the age of 8 can learn the basics of diving (in a swimming pool) and from the age of 10 they can participate in the more challenging courses where they will discover the underwater world of Lefkada. As the water is very clear around Lefkas, divers can look up to 20 meters deep.

Diving in  Vasiliki

Vasiliki is located about 11 kilometers from our villa and here you will find several diving schools, amongst which the Nautilus Diving Club. Around Vasiliki there are beautiful dive sites where you can swim through the reef. The water is very clear so you can admire the beautiful flora and fauna. Well-known dive spots in Vasiliki are Americano (reef), Christina wreck (ship wreck), Canyon (wall) and the well-known dive spot at the lighthouse. You can also go here for various snorkeling tours where a boat takes you to a cave and the blue lagoon where you can snorkel in the crystal clear water.

Diving in Nikiana

In Nikiana you will find the Lefkas Diving Center, one of the more famous diving schools in Lefkas. Here you can obtain your open water certificate and the advanced open water certificate. You can also go there if you just want to dive under supervision. They organize diving tours to various beautiful dive sites around the island, including the blue cave, beautiful reefs and shipwrecks
