Holiday Greece August
August is the busiest and hottest holiday month in Greece. The Greek and Italians have their summer holidays in August and the the Greek like to spend their holiday in their own country. Italians come by the ferries to Greece and are happy to spend their holiday on the Ionian islands of Corfu, Lefkada and Kefalonia. In every village or town there is a celebration of Ascension Day on August 15th., accompanied by a lot of music and dance.
The weather is always sunny in Greece in the month of August. The average daytime temperature on Lefkada in this month is 31 degrees C and at night it cools down to 18 degrees C on average.
About Lefkada
During this period the island and the tourist attractions are very crowded. In our house Villa Lefkas you can fully enjoy your privacy and the silence, both on the terraces, at the waterfall at the entrance of the house and on the lounge at the BBQ. If you go to the platform by the sea, you can enjoy the passing boats in peace and take a cooling dip in the sea yourself. The hectic pace of summer tourism passes you by here, you imagine yourself completely in a different world that allows you to fully unwind even in August.
Our house is fully equipped to find the necessary cooling in the summer. There are shutters everywhere to keep the sun out as much as possible and in the house all rooms are equipped with a central climate control system.
Lefkada in the month August
Early in the morning we recommend to have your breakfast in the shade at the waterfall at the entrance (west side) of the house.
As the restaurants are all crowded, it is wonderful to dine on the terrace before the house in the evening. We have an excellent equipped kitchen, but if you prefer not to cook yourself, you can have the food delivered by one of the restaurants in Sivota. Even more exclusive is to have a Star chef in our house prepare a meal to your wishes. Agreements must be made on time for the availability of this chef. When it gets dark it is wonderful to on the outside terrace it is wonderful to look at the starry sky while enjoying a good glas of wine.
